Free STI Screening

We offer free rapid STI screenings for HIV, Hep C, and Syphilis at Poppy Direct Care in Uptown New Orleans on Tuesdays from 4-7 PM. 

Walk-ins and appointments are accepted. 

STI screening is recommended when you don't have any symptoms and do not expect any recent exposure. If you are concerned that you have been exposed, we recommend you book for an STI test via the Physician Consult Sexual and Reproductive Health Office Visit listed under Sexual Healthcare Services.

Free Birth Control Consultations 

We offer free birth control consultations with Dr. Holt at Poppy Direct Care in Uptown New Orleans on Tuesdays from 4-7 PM.

Walk-ins and appointments are accepted.

During this appointment, Dr. Holt will be walking you through various birth control options based on your medical history and personal preferences. You will be guided by a physician on potential side effects of birth control on period/flow pain, mood shifts, acne, breast/hair, and other side effects to ensure you are making a safe, well-informed decision for yourself.

If you choose any birth control by pill, Dr. Holt can send up to 12 months of refills to a pharmacy of your choice. For financial concerns, Dr. Holt will help you find alternatives to ensure your prescription remains budget friendly.
